  • not important

Must say that the only thing I can say is...   EVERYONE HAS THEIR OWN PROBLEMS.  Stop feeling bad for yourself.  Stop feeling bad for your neighbor.  Just stop feeling bad, in general.  Realize that any situation could potentially be worse than it turned out to be.  Everything happens for a reason, and everything works itself out, but it's not generally the way you plan it.  Just continue to be the goof person you know better than.

What's the point of this madness?

I really don't have much to write about (openly anyways) ever.  This doesn't seem so much like a networking site as it does a venting site, as I think I mentioned once before.  It's strange to have something like a journal online.  Random people reading your thoughts and so forth.  I wonder how many people on here are actually themselves or if they pretend to be people they can't be in real life.  Again, not judging or assuming, just wondering.  To me, this online chatting deal is kind of like a fantasy world where you can be totally candid, write without inhibitions, rant and rave about anything, and at the end of the day it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks or who you piss off or whose day you bring rainbows and sunshine to.  The odds of you running into me are a notch above never.  A hundred people might read your page, a thousand people might read your page, you could very well be the only one reading your page (like in my case tonight) ;).  Let these rants and rambles carry on for the sake of time wasting or for the sake of sanity, for the world knows you have to bitch to somone... or something in this case.

So I ask you, fellow xangers, is chatting about real life in a fantasy world still genuine?  Or is it just a waste of time?

  • Gee I hope I don't offend anyone...  waiiiit a second.. too late

So I was excited to journey in this crazy web world of passionate people, angry and crazy about all walks of this life, and then as I was browsing, I saw some of the silliest rambles.  Now, don't get me wrong, I'm all about freedom of expression, but I must say that freedom is often abused.

The blog I read was pretty much a hate letter on how terrible facebook is for providing a template to network people in different ways.  The complaint was that it was wrong to have categories to fill in such as political views or sexual preference.  I must say, this user is right and ridiculous.  Your political views and sexual preference, religion and so forth don't need to be limited to a drop down box.  However, why complain about how it is limiting, and go on to say how ridiculous it is that you can put whatever you want in these blanks?

I hate to defend a social networking site, but it's late, and I don't have much else to do but ramble (my overall goal on this apparent venting site), but look, it's not like I'm trying to defend walmart (a super center for all your shopping convenienves ;) )  I could assure you that facebook will never be successful at taking over the world, though I do rant to my friends on a regular basis on how it's getting closer   If nothing else, it provides me with wonderful time fillers to put off studying for finals such as farmtown or restaurant city!

Seriously though people, let's choose our battles.  If limited options on a dropdown menu are where society's primary concerns lie, I'd say it's time to step outside and take a look at the real world.  Get over limited options on facebook, and solve some real problems if you're that worried about making this world a better place.

Thanks, and I love you New York!

  • Hi everyone! I'm just a rambler and looking for other ramblers to have great conversations with about extreme nothingness! :) Hope to hear from you...
